As we delve into the first quarter of 2021, the fitness and weight loss app category on the iOS platform has seen diverse performance across Europe. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into how the top applications in this segment have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user activity.

Starting with Strava: Run, Bike, Hike, the app experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at $368K in the third week of February and hitting a low of $204K in mid-January. Downloads for Strava also saw a high of 185K in the first week of January, gradually decreasing to 112K by the end of March. Impressively, weekly active users (WAUs) grew consistently, reaching approximately 2.28M users by the end of the quarter.

Zwift: Ride and Run maintained a relatively stable revenue, with a high of $272K in the third week of February and a decrease to $182K by the last week of March. Downloads showed a downward trend from 10K in the first week of January to around 3K by the end of March. The WAUs also decreased from 45K to 34K in the same period.

For YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet, revenue started strong at $471K in the first week of January but dipped to $143K by the end of March. Downloads saw a high of 152K in the last week of December, declining to 71K by the end of March. However, WAUs showed an increase, peaking at 1.35M in the third week of February before settling at approximately 1.26M by the quarter's close.

Courtney Black Fitness showed a revenue peak of $277K in the second week of January, with a subsequent drop to $173K by the end of March. Downloads for the app decreased from 6K in the last week of December to around 2K by the end of March. Data on WAUs for Courtney Black Fitness was not provided.

Lastly, MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter saw its revenue rise to a peak of $273K in the first week of February before falling to $184K by the end of March. Downloads experienced a peak of 94K in the first week of January, with a decrease to 60K by the close of the quarter. The app's WAUs began at around 3M at the end of December, reaching a high of 3.14M in the first week of March, and then declined to 2.83M by the end of March.
